A relatively short-lived company that built a standard-gauge steam motor line over the southwest hills, and a short connecting narrow-gauge electric line within the city limits. Service on the former was sporadic, and even more so on the latter, and the company faded away before 1902, despite dreams of electrification and further extension to Beaverton or Tigard.
Financial documents from May 1899 note that “this road has not been in operation for over four years,” while documents from January 1901 express hope that the line would be reopened by mid-summer of that year. However, this came to nothing and by January 1902 the company had gone out of business.
