John Labbe’s seminal book, “Fares Please! Those Portland Trolley Years,” has been the gateway into the history of streetcars in Portland for many people, including me. The amount of manual research that must have gone into the book is staggering, and I definitely owe a huge debt to it in my work. That said, my research has discovered some errors in the book – some minor, others of more consequence. The table below lists the errors I have found, organized by page number. Obviously an ongoing work in progress.
