A streetcar company-owned hotel in the streetcar company-founded town of Estacada. A short line in the Oregon Daily Journal from May 31, 1904 states that the “hotel will be completed in a few days,” though it doesn’t seem to have opened for business until late June. Sunday trolley fares were 50 cents round-trip from Portland, or you could add a dinner at the hotel for a further $1, while accommodation cost $2 per day.

The hotel closed in early October 1934, with equipment and furniture from it sold off by Wilson’s Auction House in Portland on November 1. By 1938, the site had been razed and plans for a new city hall there were formed.
