A worldwide exposition held in Portland from June 1 to October 14, 1905. This exposition is mainly notable in the context of this research because of the way that it affected streetcar service in the city. New streetcars were built and pressed into immediate service, and lines were rerouted directly to the fair’s main entrance at NW 26th and Upshur. Headways were as short as thirty seconds during peak periods.
