An archive of maps relevant to this research from newspapers and periodicals as well as contemporaneous and modern maps of Portland that show the streetcar system. All maps have image previews (somewhat limited by Notion’s 5MB image upload size) with a link back to the original download source.

A note on the chronological line diagrams: Lines were often rerouted temporarily around road and bridge works. These diagrams aren’t designed to capture every single temporary change, but to give a general idea as to how the routes evolved over time. Thus, a short temporary closure of a bridge might not be indicated, but something like the the year-and-a-half construction window in 1924–1926 for the current Burnside Bridge would be.
