A company founded by George W. Brown to consolidate all his various streetcar lines and franchises, which had been issued to the Mount Tabor and Mount Hood streetcar companies, as well as to his own person. Labbe and Thompson both place the the incorporation of the company in May 1891, and the first mention I have of the company name in newspaper articles is from July 1891 – though the name of the previous Mount Tabor Railway Company is seen alongside it until May 1892. At this point in time, Brown sold his interests in the company to the Steel brothers (who had previously been involved with the Metropolitan Railway Company). Some corporate records place the founding of the company here, though this would seem to be incorrect.
